Lupe Fiasco Calls For A Boycott Of Spin Magazine!!!!
Lupe Fiasco has seen his share on controversy and you can now add this boycott to the list. After an article by Brandon Soderberg was entitled “Lupe Fiasco Mansplains Some More in the Video for 'Bitch Bad'” was published on Spin, the Chicago MC took to his twitter to call for a boycott of the magazine and its parent company Buzz Media.
The article talks about how Lupe is constantly turning his songs into patronizing hip hop and how he hides under the guise of holding a conversation “which implicitly suggests that rap music isn't having these conversations already”. Well let me say Mr. Soderberg, hip hop is NOT having these conversations. The original video that premiered two days ago has already had young people talking about the ways the word bitch is used.
Lupe took to his twitter this morning and called the author, the magazine and its parent company out on its b.s.
