Fox recently announced the new lineup of judges for this season of American Idol, including the lowly judge remaining from the beginning, Randy Jackson, country superstar Keith Urban, well known diva Mariah Carey and rap femme Nicki Minaj. There were reports that Carey was pissed that Fox reached out to Minaj and actually hung up the phone on execs when she was told Minaj was a judge and rumors of a beef surfaced. Producers laid that rumor to bed saying there was no tension between the two high strung divas.
Now comes word that Nicki and Mariah definitely have a strenuous relationship and it all went down yesterday at the first taping of American Idol. According to TMZ,
"When Nicki started critiquing a contestant, Mariah would interrupt -- not once, but many times. Each time Mariah interrupted, Nicki fought back by loudly talking over Mariah. One "A.I." spy said Mariah and Nicki tried to cover their disdain for each other but everyone saw through it, adding, these girls just don't like each other.”
Yikes!!! I’m sure this is going to make for good television!!
