Obama Accepts The Nomination for President Of The United States at the 2012 DNC!!!!
The Democratic National Convention wrapped in Charlotte last night with Barack Obama accepting the nomination for presidency from the Democratic Party. Prior to President Obama taking the stage, Vice President Joe Biden rallied the troops and delivered a fiery speech supporting his running mate and friend. Joe Biden’s main focus of his speech was the bailout of General Motors within the first months of Obama’s presidency and the capture and killing of Osama Bin Laden.
Introduced by his adoring wife, President Obama walked on the stage to a thunderous reception. While he spoke of hope, it was not the focus of his speech like it was at the 2008 DNC when he was just a candidate. The President spoke of this, pointing out last time he was naïve and full of promises but he enters the 2012 DNC as the President of the United States and he knows what to do to get the country back on track. He looked into the camera and stated “I am no longer just the candidate, I’m the President,” perhaps a jab at the disrespectful comments made in many of the speeches at the RNC calling him either by first name or last name.
Vowing to use the money set aside for the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan to boost the American economy, President Obama looked into the eyes of the American people and stated his case for four more years.
