When it came time to pick the first “Que”Tee of the Week, it wasn’t a hard decision. Rosa Acosta has been setting the hip hop world ablaze since she moved to the United States 6 years ago, but many people only know Acosta for her video work. Born in the Dominican Republic, Rosa had a natural talent for dancing. At the tender age of 4, she began ballet classes at the Centro de la Cultura in the DR and from there received numerous accolades for such a young talent. At 18 years old, she became the youngest member of the Dominican Nacional Ballet. After doing some modeling work for famous businesses in her home town, Rosa start making waves stateside and decided to move the United States in 2006 and the rest, as they say, is history.
Acosta has been featured in some of the hottest hip hop videos and more recently has been named XXL’s Hottest Eye Candy of All Time, beating out the likes of Esther Baxter, Angel Lola Luv and Buffie the Body. Congrats are definitely in order as Ms. Acosta preps to retire from the modeling world but we couldn’t let her retire without the distinction of being our inaugural “Que”Tee of the Week!
